About the Publisher


Diane Gedymin, publisher of Grant’s Town Press, is also the founder and president of The Publisher’s Desk, an independent service provider offering book editing; author coaching; author and business-to-business publishing consultation; and book packaging.    An experienced veteran of the book publishing industry, Gedymin has worked in nearly every area of U.S. trade publishing including as a literary agent affiliated with Carlisle & Company; senior vice president and publisher of  a division of HarperCollins, HarperSanFrancisco (now HarperOne), where she acquired and edited Sidney Poitier’s Oprah book club selection and #1 New York Times best-selling autobiography, The Measure of a Man; and, vice president and senior editor at the Putnam/Berkley Group, where she acquired Sheri Reynolds, whose novel, The Rapture of Canaan, was Oprah’s third book club selection and also a #1 New York Times best seller. Gedymin speaks at writers’ conferences across the United States and is the co-author of Get Published! Professionally, Affordably, Fast.  She divides her time between the metro New York City area and The Bahamas.
